Google Flights is launching a price monitoring feature. This feature is still in development/testing phase. Customers who book a flight via Google Flights can receive a refund if the price changes. Eligible flights will have a price guarantee icon next to them. Any refund would be deposited to the linked Google Pay account.
- Flights must depart from the US
- Must book through Google
- Fare change must be at least $5+
- limited to $500 in refunds per calendar year
- No refunds for you canceling
Currently Alaska, Hawaiian, & Spirit are the primary airlines bookable.

Interesting. I’ve mostly seen Google Flights used to price shop. Most readers here will be using points or a loyalty program anyways. Even then, the current airline selection isn’t great.
I do wonder if this could become a play to partially run travel portals for major issuers. We’ve seen other services integrate that offer similar features as this.
