Easy enough. I’d take the $250 offer as it’s easy enough to avoid the fees for 2-3 months.

I did this and was denied the bonus. Here’s why:
1) they said the direct deposit requirement must be a single deposit of $1000 or more. Unlike every other bank that only cares if your total direct deposits in the period add up to whatever their target was.
2) Even though I had an email from their customer support saying any number of deposits could be made as long as they totalled $1000 or more. Last customer support guy telling me it had to be single deposit asked me to send that email and he would open a case to have it reviewed
3) 12 days later after not hearing anything I called back. Now they say I am denied because I didn’t open the account online I spoke to someone on the phone. I think I vaguely remember speaking to someone on the phone, but the only reason I would have done that is if there was some problem opening it online.
In the end, I never got this bonus.
