i have problem with ach. Citi doesnt want to acknowledge transfer ACH from wellsfargo to as part of ACH or enhanced direct deposit. I submitted complaint to cfpb and they closed the complaints.
I was also told my ACH from Chase wouldn’t count.
I believe I made the Chase ACH Transfer using the quicker method so that gets logged as a debit transaction instead of an ACH transaction. That may be what happened to you as well. I did some recurring deposits, and they were all fine, but when I did a one time transfer it did not count. It stinks because now the 90 days are up and I couldn’t get the bonus.
I ended up getting the $300 Bonus in September after thinking i didn’t qualify back in May.
This has not been the case with me. I initially funded with an ACH, made two more ACH Transfers and I’m chatting with CITI now as it’s been more than 30 days. They are telling me that I’ve met the requirement and now I have to wait for “the cooling period” which could be up to 90 days.
2 ACH transfers from Fidelity CMA into Citi account worked to get bonus. Bonus paid in less than 2 weeks after completing both transfers. Awesome bonus!
Data Point:
1/30/24 – Opened account
2/6/24 – Did normal ACH from my Laurel Road acct for $1000 and removed most of it just after it posted
2/7/24 – Did normal ACH for $500 and removed it just after it posted
2/15/24 – Paid the $300 bonus
Thoughts: This is about as easy as it gets for a sizeable offer. I was dubious that it would work, but now I’m fairly sure any ACH in should be fine. Also, Laurel Road is a good account for the bonus over there as well.

That’s how I read the “enhanced DD” anything that uses ACH network will work.
After the ACH in, Can we withdraw the cash?
Yes, there’s no lockup period.
