Citi has launched the new Strata card. This is the replacement to the Rewards+:
- Annual fee: $0
- Multipliers
- 5x Hotels, car rentals, & attractions booked via Citi Travel
- 3x Supermarkets
- 3x Select transit, gas stations, & EV charging stations
- 3x Self selected category of your choice
- Fitness Clubs, Select Streaming Services, Live Entertainment, Cosmetic Stores/Barber Shops/Hair Salons and Pet Supply Stores
- 2x Restaurants
- 1x All purchases
Intro offer
- Earn 30k Thank You Points with $1k in spend within the first 3 months
- Bonus ThankYou® Points are not available if you received a new account bonus for Citi Strata℠, Citi Strata Student, Citi Rewards+® or Citi Rewards+ Student account in the past 48 months or if you converted another Citi credit card account on which you earned a new account bonus in the last 48 months into a Citi Strata℠, Citi Strata Student, Citi Rewards+® or Citi Rewards+ Student account.
Thoughts
I don’t think it’s an awful card for the masses. Without the 10% points transfer boost of the old Rewards+, most won’t find use for this.
