Clear is set to raise the Clear+ membership fee from $209 to $219 on July 1st. American Express has said they’ll match the price hike by increasing the Clear credits offered on Amex cards.

Thoughts
With the introduction of TSA Pre check’s touchless option, Clear becomes less appealing given the continued price hikes. That said, I imagine many other card issuers will follow suit and match the price hike.
