PNC has a rewards program similar to Bank of America’s. Not sure if this is new, first I’ve heard of it.

- Everyday benefits – open to anyone
- Silver – $25k
- Credit card boost – 5%
- Gold – $100k
- Credit card boost – 25%
- Platinum – $500k
- Credit card boost – 35%
Requirements
- Checking account
- 90-day combined average of your eligible deposit and investment account balances. Your Average Eligible Balance is calculated on or around the 4th business day of each month.
At the Gold tier the brokerage fees are waived.
Platinum tier would make the Cash Unlimited 2.7x and the Cash Rewards 5.4x on gas.
Thoughts
This is an interesting turn of events. PNC is one of the worst banks I’ve had the pleasure of taking money from (awful UI, hard to get approvals) That said, rewards are rewards.
